School Performance
At Grafton, academic achievement and personal development go hand in hand. We believe children achieve their best when they feel happy, safe, valued and inspired to learn.
Our most recent Key Stage 2 outcomes (2026) demonstrate the strength of our curriculum and the high expectations we have for every child.

These results show that Grafton pupils continue to perform above the national average across every assessed area.
While we are proud of these outcomes, we believe they tell only part of the story. Alongside strong academic achievement, we are equally committed to developing confident, curious, resilient and compassionate young people who are well prepared for the next stage of their education — and for life beyond primary school.
Ofsted
At Grafton, we are proud of the education and experiences we provide for every child. We also believe that parents should have clear, transparent information about how our school performs.
Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in November 2023, when Grafton Primary School was judged to be Good overall, with Outstanding judgements for:
- Behaviour and Attitudes
- Personal Development
- Leadership and Management
These judgements reflect much of what families tell us they value about Grafton: a school where children are known, encouraged, challenged and supported to flourish both academically and personally.

The inspection recognised many of the strengths that shape everyday life at Grafton.

"All pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), benefit from a wide range of additional activities and educational outings."

The report also praised the school's ambitious curriculum, strong provision for reading, inclusive support for pupils with SEND, and the commitment of leaders and governors to continual improvement.
Like every successful school, we continue to reflect on our practice. Ofsted identified a small number of curriculum areas where opportunities to revisit and embed key knowledge could be strengthened. This work has already informed our ongoing curriculum development and forms part of our commitment to continually improving the education we provide.
