PE and Sports Premium

At Grafton Primary, our PE and Sports Premium is designed to give every child the opportunity to be active, confident, and inspired. We focus on inclusion so that all pupils—regardless of ability or background—can take part in high-quality physical education and sports activities. Through carefully planned lessons and accessible opportunities, we aim to support pupils to develop skills, build friendships, and enjoy being part of a positive school sports culture.

We also place a strong emphasis on creativity and empowerment. Children are encouraged to try new activities, think about tactics and teamwork, and take pride in improving over time. Our approach helps pupils develop leadership qualities, make choices during PE, and feel empowered to participate fully—whether that’s learning a new sport, working through challenges, or demonstrating their progress with confidence.

Alongside physical development, our PE and Sports Premium promotes love, kindness, and respect. Teachers and coaches model positive behaviour, encourage fair play, and celebrate effort as well as achievement. By creating opportunities for pupils to work together and support one another, we help strengthen wellbeing and character, ensuring that sport makes a meaningful difference to the whole school community.
